Jim Godin obtained a defense verdict in Delaware County. The matter was an appeal from arbitration, where liability was not disputed. At arbitration, the arbitrators awarded a sum to the plaintiff and defendant appealed. At trial, the jury found no causation of the injuries alleged by plaintiff.
Alexandra Venters obtained a verdict in a Bucks County jury trial at a fourth of the offer tendered to plaintiff prior to trial. The matter involved a chain rear-end collision and allegations of traumatic herniation and bulges, disfigurement, and ongoing injuries.
Reed Haywood obtained a defense verdict in a Philadelphia County jury trial. Liability was conceded in the rear-end collision. Plaintiff had limited tort insurance coverage and no economic damages. The jury found causation, but did not find that the plaintiff sustained a serious impairment of bodily function, and returned a verdict in favor of the defendant.
